Noi Varo offers a 1000 sq m of exclusive indoor and outdoor living and lounging space in a century old Portuguese era river side bungalow. Designed to host 3 different romantic couples in complete privacy, Noi Varo is also perfect for small groups ( friends or family) holidaying with children. ( 3 airconditioned bedrooms with attached bathrooms; 3 other possible sleeping spaces in lofts and other rooms; and a fourth bathroom in the garden.)

Original art, furniture and lighting installations support an understated natural- materials-and-water-based design scheme which has intervened only marginally with the original heritage structure.

The swimming pool, river view tree house... and water lounge offer a range of experiential options.

A genuine gourmet chef ensures that you can live for weeks without eating the same dish twice. World space radio and a collectors music archive on ipod, toilets by Philippe Starck, flat screen tv's in bedrooms and authentic rain showers help beat any 5 star resort hotel, not just for price but also for functionality, comfort and privacy.

If your idea of an ideal holiday is to spend a large part of your time on a tranquil beach and then walk back a few hundred metres to the privacy and comfort of a private home, with a swimming pool, gourmet chef, housekeeping staff, room service, original art, airconditioned bedrooms and bar b q's under the stars check out Kaju Varo our beachside retreat.

Luxury lofts have been slipped discretely into two rustic bungalows in a tranquil sea breezy cashew and mango orchard just off Aswem beach. You can hear the waves quite distinctly and glimpse paddy fields and the distant sea through palm fronds from renovated grain-loft-bedrooms. Despite being close to the beach it is a sufficient distance away to be insulated from beach shack cacophony. The design style is minimalist and rooted in functionality and meditative zen values.

From October 2009, the first 'Shunya Gor' - a fourth independent residential unit - will be added to the property. The 'Shunya Gor' is a two storied, two bedroomed, pre-fabricated modular villa fashioned from wood, glass, fabric and steel. It can be erected or taken down in a few days only and offers almost 90 sq m of living and lounging space. One bedroom is airconditioned and it has verandahs which offer panoramic views.

This is a pilot project for creating luxury facilities within local village homes. A fully furnished one bedroom air conditioned studio has been created on the top of a common place modern village house through interior design intervention only . Nal Varo floats in a coconut grove with a magnificent view all round of paddy fields and backwater canals. Two verandahs with panoramic views give it a spacious feel. There is a kitchen for self cooking. Perfect for couples who want privacy or a family with kids. Nal Varo is only 10-15 minutes driving from Aswem beach and has back waters within walking distance. It is especially beautiful during the monsoon months. A part time maid cleans the house daily and helps with dishes and laundry.
